The tarpon fishing and back country fishing continues to produce here in the Fort Myers, Sanibel, Pine Island, and Cape Coral area. I took my new friend Chuck from Wisconsin out Monday morning and he boated his first of three giant tarpon in the back country. All which well over 100 pounds. Yesterday morning the tarpon were showing in real good numbers and were all around us but did not want a taste of our baits. After calling it quits on the tarpon bite after 4 hours my client and I decided to fish one of my favorite red fish holes where we popped two stud over slot reds and got man handled by a third under the bushes.
