Summer only happens once a year. Therefore, you only get one shot at planning a vacation that you and your family will enjoy and remember for the rest of the year. Taking your family on a combo cruise is an appealing idea; not only do you get to spend quality time with them but you also get to explore new sites and activities together. If you have never been on a combo cruise, here are five reasons to take your family on one this summer.

Why Should I Take My Family on a Combo Cruise?

Countless attractions are waiting for you should to decide on going on a combo cruise as a family:

1.  Cruise the Gulf of Mexico with Your Family and Enjoy a Day at the Beach

An afternoon cruise on the Gulf of Mexico, which is minutes away from the iconic pier, is a great way to relax. The Gulf of Mexico is home to more than 1,400 species of fish, which you can get to see on your cruise. After the cruise, you and the kids can have some food and drinks while enjoying the warm, subtropical weather.

2.  You Can Snorkel in Beautiful Waters off Sanibel Island While on a Combo Cruise

When you snorkel in Sanibel Island, you can get up close with your favorite sea animals. There is a collection of sunken ships and a network of artificial reefs near Sanibel Island, which you will get to see when you snorkel on the island. The sun-kissed waters around Sanibel Island do not support natural coral growth; however, man-made structures have been introduced to act as coastal defense and increase the marine population.

3.  You Can See Diverse Marine Wildlife

Marine wildlife is plentiful in Fort Myers and the dolphins are always ready to play. Dolphin cruises are a fun way to see local sea life. You can rent a boat, stand-up paddleboard, sailboat, kayak, or parasail to get up close to dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, and other marine life while you explore the waters near Fort Myers. Once you are done admiring the underwater life, you can rent a beach chair and an umbrella and relax under the sun on the city’s beautiful shoreline.

4.  Spend Time on Land Exploring Fort Myers and Florida’s Beaches and Attractions

Florida has beaches for days. With more than 50 miles of white sand, the hardest decision you will have to make when you visit Florida’s beaches is where to pitch your umbrella.

During your trip, you can spend time on land exploring several beaches or rent a boat and explore the various attractions the location has to offer.

5.  Enjoy Shelling with Your Family

You can go shelling on Sanibel Island or Captiva Island. Both islands have shells ranging from large to small but you can hop on board a tour to find souvenir worthy shells.

If you would like to experience any of these activities, you should contact Caloosahatchee Cowboy Charters. These activities are a great way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city. Feel free to call, text, or email us.

Vessel Information

Captain Josh’s boat is 24 feet. During the trip, you can relax with food and a drink, which you are free to bring. There is always water and ice aboard and the speakers are loud enough for you to hear the narration no matter where you choose to sit. Please note that you are required to bring your own cooler if you plan on keeping your catch.

Leave big, bulky coolers in your car: they clutter the deck and can be a tripping hazard.
